What an AMAZING weekend it's been! I had the amazing opportunity to attend RTX this year and meet some very good friends, most of whom are from tumblr, and got to meet Rooster Teeth employees! Austin is a lovely city. It's like my hometown in a lot of ways. Just far too hot and humid.
About half of my friends were actually guardians and they worked their BUTTS off to make the con go well, so if you know a guardian, thank them for a job well done!
I got a charm from an artist I admire - a tiny Carolina that I stuck on my phone! She's super cute and it was a great kickoff to the con. I got selfies with Arryn, Brandon, Kerry, Samantha Ireland

two years ago i almost quit art because i just couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong and i was despondent over it. i'm lucky that i had artists with shared interests - several of whom later became very close friends of mine - that gave me something to strive for. they kept me going and introduced me (indirectly) to entire online communities of artists dedicated to perfecting not only their own craft, but to helping others improve as well.
there is always someone out there who can help you when you feel like you can't help yourself. never give up and stop doing what you love because you think you're not good enough. you will get there. i

painted my first super masculine man this week which was AWESOME
masculine/angular faces have always really intimidated me because i have the urge to make everything look all...gosh i don't know, soft and curvy and "pretty"
although there are ways to make faces and people "pretty" while mixing in more angular elements of course, i just haven't tried it before
but yes this has been fun and i'm excited to post it, maybe later tonight
it's a freelancer. literally no one is surprised. at all. i'm so transparent lmao
